What will I learn?

This course aligns with the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) Public Health Practitioner Standards, supporting your journey toward registration as a public health practitioner via the retrospective portfolio route. Interested in a career that helps communities, promotes health, and offers global employment opportunities in industry, government, and NGOs? Develop the knowledge and skills to tackle global health challenges and promote wellbeing, prevent ill-health, and prolong life. This programme is designed to give you the skills in promoting and improving health and well-being at individual, community, and societal levels. You will gain expertise in: Evidence-based Public Health: Develop strategies to promote wellbeing and improve public health at local, national, and global levels. Intervention Design: Create and evaluate impactful interventions that encourage positive behaviour changes and enhance community health. Multidisciplinary Integration: Apply insights from epidemiology, life sciences, business, and policy to address complex health challenges. Research Proficiency: Conduct in-depth research to understand public health issues and inform future initiatives. Leadership Development: Prepare for roles in health, education, or government, helping to shape policies and practices that improve public health outcomes.

Entry requirements

For international students

At least 2.2 honours UK degree or international equivalent (overall 60% or above in life and health sciences related international UG degrees).
