What will I learn?

Neuroscientists at Leeds employ multiple techniques ranging from electrophysiology and behavioural testing to high-resolution imaging (including Cryo-electron Microscopy), high-density recordings, optogenetics and bioelectronics. Using in vitro and in vivo animal models and humans, researchers are investigating the function and structure of the nervous system and how it influences body systems from sensory perception to motor output, and neuroplasticity. Our proximity to cutting-edge facilities and research centres, including the Astbury Centre and Cheney Biomedical Accelerator, enable productive cross-faculty, national and international collaborations.
