MSt (Res) in English - Creative writing

UK

What will I learn?

MSt (Res), a research-based Masters degree. The MSt (Res) is a one-year research degree in which you are expected to complete a thesis of no more than 30,000 words. It is an excellent opportunity to spend a shorter time in a research environment either for a standalone degree or as preparation for a PhD. The Creative Writing research group works with students on developing their prose or poetry skills. The group, which includes John Burnside, Robert Crawford, Oliver Emanuel, Lesley Glaister, Zinnie Harris, Oli Hazzard, Emma Jones and Don Paterson has produced a range of widely-reviewed and prizewinning work, not only in the UK, but also through Europe, the United States and the Far-East.
