From breaking news to cultural reviews, sports reporting to in-depth investigations, we’ll help you scrutinise, interrogate and report on the issues that really matter.Our BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism course is geared towards inquiring and creative thinkers seeking a career in journalism and the creative media industries. This vocationally focussed course provides you with practical training to equip you with high level multimedia, digital research and communication skills, so that you are ready for employment in the fast-paced media industry.Throughout this hands-on course you will be provided with co-curricular opportunities to work on live events and current affairs, both nationally and internationally, gaining experience of working to professional deadlines.You will have access to high-spec, industry-standard television and radio studios, a newsroom, edit suites and public-facing digital platforms, enabling you to develop a real-world portfolio of journalism to showcase your work to prospective employers.You'll be taught by a team of experienced journalists with many years' industry experience and excellent links to major media players including newspapers, TV companies, radio stations and digital publishers. This ensures what is taught on the course is informed by and responsive to the latest trends and developments in the rapidly evolving digital space.This course has a foundation year available.**Features and Benefits**- Modules are led by accomplished journalists, including current and former reporters and editors.- We’ll encourage you to find your own creative identity and express yourself through a variety of digital content, media and genres.- Throughout your degree, each year will offer increasing flexibility, allowing you to pursue your own interests through a range of options, including magazine, digital audio and video, or arts journalism.- You may have the opportunity to take the four-year route, spending a year studying abroad, or boost your career prospects with a placement in industry.-All of our students have access to high-spec, professional television and radio studios, a newsroom, and edit suites situated in a dedicated wing of our Grosvenor East building giving you the practical experience you'll need to become a journalist.
