What will I learn?

This online Post Graduate Certificate in Education course is taught entirely in Arabic for teachers located outside the United Kingdom.This is the first Post-Graduate Certificate in Education course taught fully in Arabic by a British university.This course has been designed to suit the needs of Arabic-speaking teachers located outside the United Kingdom.It is a completely online course with provision for adaptability to include in-country tutor visitsThe course offers bachelor’s degree graduates the opportunity to obtain a teaching certificate accredited by the University of Buckingham.The course offers teachers and in-service teachers in schools outside the United Kingdom who have not undergone a period of formal training the opportunity to obtain the professional qualifications necessary to modernise teaching methods and develop educational skills and competencies.The Post Graduate Certificate in Education course in Arabic has been adapted from our successful PGCE for International Trainees with opportunities for more specialist content in Arab speaking countries. It is a level 7 postgraduate course according to the British qualifications system.

Entry requirements

For international students

  • You must have a university bachelors degree or equivalent. We will need to see your original degree certificate.
  • You must be employed as a teacher in an international school abroad or you have an agreement with a school that accommodates your training needs.
  • You must obtain a commitment from your school to provide a suitable mentor.
  • You will be asked to show the physical and mental fitness to teach.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
