What will I learn?

As well as a training programme developed to guide and support your developing needs through your PhD journey, students have access to over 100 complimentary professional development courses developed to strengthen your research and study skills, providing you with the tools needed to excel in your degree. It normally takes between three and four years of full-time work to complete. It is also possible to undertake a PhD part time, over five to six years.

Entry requirements

For international students

Have or expect to have a BSc degree of 1st class or 2.1 standard in UK system, or equivalent for overseas degrees. A Masters degree may also be required.

Applicants who do not meet the above criteria but who sufficient relevant experience and background knowledge may be considered.

Have a commitment to and demonstrated ability in research.
