Explore the global political landscape on our Politics and International Relations programme. Examine the most pressing questions of our time and analyse their practical implications. You'll discuss state power, international security, human rights and global justice.Whilst studying you will look at a range of themes and issues at the forefront of international and global politics:International relations theories provide different understandings of issues and events in global politics and economics.International security examines the causes and consequences of war and conflict, the conditions for peace and how states respond.International political economy, or IPE, studies the links between international relations and the global economy.International organisation studies the organisations that play key roles in governing global politics and the economy.You'll develop a fundamental understanding of the institutions and processes of modern states, both democratic and non-democratic.By the end of your degree you will be able to:Explain the historical path and drivers of international relations.Analyse the current international landscape.Identify and respond to emerging issues and challenges that will shape our future.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

To qualify for this programme you will need: High School Diploma plus SATS 3.0 GPA or higher and one of the following: 1180 in the SAT, or 2 APs with a 3 or higher, or at least 24 in the ACT. Foundation: High School Diploma plus SATS 2.6 GPA or higher and one of the following: 1100 in the SAT, or at least 20 in the ACT. IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each component), TOEFL iBT Overall score of 75 (Listening 17, Reading 18, Speaking 20, Writing 20), other forms of TOEFL are not acceptable.
