What will I learn?

The Pre-Master's in Computing will refresh your subject knowledge and improve your English language skills, preparing you for your postgraduate degree at the University of Huddersfield’s Computing and Engineering School. The programme is designed to boost your skills and knowledge to the level required to succeed in a master’s in computing or a computing-related postgraduate degree at the University of Huddersfield. By studying a postgraduate degree, you will develop a deeper understanding of your subject area, becoming a more employable graduate with opportunities for better roles and higher salaries. Taught over a single semester, this programme consists of twenty hours of teaching time per week and is delivered on the University campus. Why study Computing at Huddersfield? Many of the University's Computing and Information Systems courses are accredited by their respective awarding body, which means you will graduate from the University with a professionally accredited degree. ​The School of Computing and Engineering has a wide range of research capabilities. With cutting-edge facilities, the research activity is organised around the Research Institutes and Centres, including Centre for Sustainable Computing, Centre for Autonomous and Intelligent System, and Centre for Cyber Security.

Successful completion, with appropriate grades, of a recognised higher/advanced diploma in a related subject area, a recognised degree in related field or a university or college honours degree, or equivalent. Age on entry: 20+
