This course is designed as a top-up degree for graduates of the FdA Professional Chef or as a direct entry route for students holding a Level 5 culinary-specific qualification. The BA Professional Chef (Top-up) aims to develop students into highly skilled culinary professionals, equipping them with advanced practical, technical and theoretical knowledge essential for success in senior-level roles within the culinary industry. Students will refine their expertise in modern and classical cooking techniques, kitchen management, gastronomy, and menu innovation, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, global food trends and entrepreneurial thinking. The course also integrates leadership and business acumen, preparing graduates to excel in fine dining establishments, Michelin-starred restaurants, high end hotels and elite food environments, including artisanal food businesses, product development and private dining sectors.
