What will I learn?

The University of Buckingham’s unique tutorial teaching model is central to our teaching on the psychology degree. For every module on the psychology degree, you will have weekly tutorial meetings with your module tutor, each with a maximum of seven students. This means your tutors will get to know who you are and encourage you to engage with the content of the modules. Tutorials are also a great way to ask questions, get to know other students, and practice your teamworking skills. Our emphasis on employability skills means that we approach the tutorials as a professional work meeting where there is an expectation that students prepare for and participate in the tutorial. We have a high quality, engaging degree programme and want students who want to engage with what we have to offer and flourish within our unique teaching modelThe standard entry requirements for psychology are 128 – 112 UCAS Tarif points (A-level ABB-BBC or equivalent).Applications to Buckingham are considered on an individual basis by the University Admissions Office. Many factors are taken into account so if you have a different educational and work experience please contact us and talk to our admissions team.Applicants with BTEC and similar qualifications are welcome to apply, including if you have a mix of BTEC and A levels. We also accept a wide range of international qualifications including International Baccalaureate. You can use the UCAS website to calculate your tariff points to find out what your qualifications are or will be worth.Where an applicant is taking the EPQ alongside A-levels, the EPQ will be taken into consideration and result in slightly lower A-level grades being required.Applicants must also have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C / Grade 4, or above (or equivalent).
