This complex public health landscape requires innovative and effective practice that focus on preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health.The course focuses on integrating public health theory and practice and focuses on current challenges and policy debates in public health. When you have completed the course, you will be able to critically analyse and respond effectively and appropriately to complex public health policy and practice issues.In addition to the shared modules that all QMU's Institute for Global Health and Development students take in the autumn semester, you’ll take two pathway-specific modules that bring these public health issues to life: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, and Introduction to Biostatistics and Epidemiology.

A UK honours degree or equivalent from a relevant subject area (arts, humanities, health or social sciences). Students without an honours degree may be considered if they have other relevant qualifications and/or appropriate work experience.
