What will I learn?

BA (Hons) Visual Communication with integrated Foundation Year is a four-year degree programme, including an integrated foundation year to help develop your skills and creativity before you start the first year of the degree course.Embrace your love of drawing and design. Break the boundaries of storytelling.Visual Communication is where illustration, graphic design, animation, and photography converge. This is a hybrid course for a hybrid world – where creative careers demand fluency across disciplines. You'll navigate your own path through these interconnected fields, building a practice that's as broad or as focused as your ambitions require.Taught by practising designers in studio environments, you'll develop much more than just your technical skills. You'll learn to think critically about what you're communicating, who you're talking to, and how it reaches them.From traditional letterpress and screen printing to projection mapping and augmented reality, you'll train across both analogue and digital processes – developing a contextual understanding and creative confidence to set yourself apart in the industry.
