What will I learn?

Illustration can inform, inspire, challenge, electrify and enrich the world around us. Come to Manhattan to find yourself in a city full of inspiration and to Pratt’s Associate Degree Department to lose yourself in your work. As an Illustration student in the Associate Degree Department, you will be immersed in studio courses from day one. Our intensive programs deliver the same number and level of art and design courses as a BFA program in half the time by eliminating gen-ed courses. This allows us to give students a complete education as quickly and efficiently as possible. You will begin with foundational art and design courses that set the basis for advanced courses in traditional illustration, digital illustration, painting/drawing, communication design and more. Focused, efficient, and embedded in a tight-knit community, our two-year Illustration Associate Degree program gives you access to core components of the Pratt experience in a highly intensive curricular experience. You will work with faculty at the forefront of their industries in a carefully curated program to prepare you for your next step.
