Entry requirements

For international students

Current unrestricted State of Ohio RN license. Hold an MSN degree from a professionally accredited nursing program (clinical masters preferred). Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for MSN program. Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in adult or gerontology health care. Complete an application to The University of Akron Graduate School. Submit a 300 word essay describing professional goals. Submit a resume outlining prior education and work related experiences. Complete the following prerequisite courses: graduate level pathophysiology, advanced assessment, advanced clinical pharmacology. Completion of an interview with the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner faculty.
