What will I learn?

We developed this nine-credit-hour program for construction industry professionals looking to broaden their skills. Courses help you qualify or maintain licensure and offer a comprehensive perspective of project management. Courses can be completed 100% online or in a hybrid format. Enhance your engineering foundation for the construction industry. Understand what’s needed to create strong relationships with clients and builders. Prepare to source and transport materials and develop sustainable projects. You’ll also become more attuned to various risks and quality control issues. The construction industry is becoming increasingly complex. At the same time, projects are expected to be more sustainable. This certificate presents a holistic look at managing all project stages: Credential preparation: Become a valuable asset for your employer. Prepare to successfully obtain credentials as a LEED Green Associate or an Envision Sustainability Professional - a step that can increase your salary. Professional development: Earn New York state-approved Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Time spent on each of the three required classes counts toward the PDHs needed to fulfill continuing education requirements for licensure or to maintain credentials. Flexibility: Complete your certificate around your schedule. Clarkson offers CEM certificate courses online or in a hybrid format. Grow your network: Connections help you reach the next stage of your career. Today, numerous construction companies in New York State are led by Clarkson graduates. CEM students benefit from our vast and distinguished alumni network. Look ahead: Clarkson’s CEM certificate helps turbocharge your construction management career. All three CEM certificate courses fulfill core requirements for the Master of Science in Construction Engineering Management.
