In the Bachelor of Science program in applied biological sciences, students acquire a comprehensive foundation in biology and related sciences, along with the flexibility to specialize in areas of personal interest. Students gain a deep understanding of core biological concepts, including energy and matter dynamics, genetic information exchange, and the structural and functional relationships that govern life processes. Additionally, the program addresses ethical considerations and policy challenges that arise when biological principles are applied to societal issues. Students engage in a variety of experience-based learning opportunities to apply their knowledge, including: case studies, faculty-guided research and service learning projects, field trips, hands-on laboratories and field experiences, internships. Through these immersive activities, students acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for success in the biological sciences.
