What will I learn?

STEM-classified degree: graduates are eligible for 3 years of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the USA. The Bachelor of Science program in applied biological sciences with a concentration in secondary education in biology is designed for students who want to teach biology at the middle school and high school levels. In addition to the standard curriculum, students receive hands-on experience in laboratory instruction. The goal of the program is to prepare students to become teachers who excel in biology and related sciences.

Entry requirements

For international students

3.0 GPA or equivalent. Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 9–11 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10–12 grade coursework.) Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
