What will I learn?

The Pre-Special education program prepares you to work with students in grades K-12. Special educators collaborate to make curriculum accessible and build inclusive settings. As an aspiring special education teacher, this program will help you to understand the complex human and social factors involved in educating children with diverse characteristics, as well as practices that support inclusion and lifelong learning. A bachelor’s degree in education is the minimum requirement to become a teacher. As an associate degree program, UC Clermont offers freshman and sophomore coursework with the expectation that students will transfer to UC Clifton to complete their preparation and earn a bachelor’s degree.

For international students

This program is open to all students with a high school diploma or GED and the desire to succeed in college. Although admission is open, students accepted into the program must meet the academic standards of the program to advance to upper levels of study.
