The Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) program, offered through the TXFAME Alamo Chapter at St. Philip’s College, is a nationally recognized, work-integrated learning program developed in partnership with the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME). This five-semester associate degree combines cutting-edge classroom instruction with paid, hands-on experience at one of 17 sponsoring manufacturing companiesincluding industry leaders like Toyota, H-E-B, and Caterpillar. Students alternate between two days of college coursework and three days of on-site work each week, preparing them for advanced manufacturing careers with real-world knowledge and industry exposure from day one. Through its partnership with FAME, the program provides: Paid, hands-on experience with a sponsoring company, Industry mentorship and real-world training from day one, A direct pathway into high-demand, high-tech manufacturing careers.
