What will I learn?

This program studies the rapidly changing global financial services industry. You’ll develop an understanding of the banking and financial services sector while exploring the many career opportunities in these fields. You’ll learn the fundamentals of banking and financial services, including bank operations, the Federal Reserve System, money and financial markets, analyzing financial statements, consumer lending, selling bank and financial products, banking laws and regulations, investments and securities, financial business ethics, and business and accounting principles. This program allows you to get started on a career in banking and financial services while you earn your degree. Start with the 18-hour certificate that prepares you for a career in entry-level roles such as a financial or bank clerk, then work in the field as you complete your associate degree at SAC. Internships are available so you get real-world experience as you learn. This program is available fully online, so you can take courses wherever there’s an Internet connection. If you’re already a professional working in the field, this program can give you the foundation to advance in your career.
