Department of Criminal Justice. Law Enforcement and Correctional Science. For students seeking careers in law enforcement, the courts, or corrections. Courses are designed to provide knowledge and techniques for understanding how criminal justice and social structures influence human behavior. With an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, students will have 60 credit hours of college to either continue their education at a four-year university or to enter any public safety agency at the federal, state, and local levels.Criminal Justice careers can encompass a variety of jobs. Qualified graduates seek employment in law enforcement at the Federal, State, and local level, State and Federal Court Systems, Law Firms, Adult and Juvenile Correctional Facilities, Community Correctional Programs, Child Advocacy, Protective Services, Private Sector, and other service agencies.
