The Mechanical Engineering Technology program at UA teaches students how to operate and maintain mechanical systems.
Mechanical engineering technicians are needed in all industries, from steelmaking to consumer products such as tires, cars, and home appliances. They work along with engineers in design, testing, manufacturing, and servicing of the mechanical components and systems found everywhere in industry.

Technical courses are presented using graphical tools as well as incorporate algebra, trigonometry and geometry as primary analytical tools.

An AAS degree in mechanical engineering technology prepares you to work in design, testing, manufacturing and servicing of the mechanical components and systems found in all facets of industry. Students are qualified to work the following positions:

You are a high school student or have completed high school or equivalent and have never enrolled in a college/university. SAT or ACT is not required for standard admission or admission scholarship consideration for all types of applicants. An official SAT or ACT score is required to be considered for direct admission into your intended major.
All undergraduate international applicants must provide proof of English proficiency by meeting the minimum score from one of the following acceptable tests. This requirement can be waived if you meet certain criteria.
