Associate of Applied Science in Radiography Technologist

This Associate of Applied Science Degree program affords the student the opportunity to rotate through different areas of Radiography Technology. Students will experience clinical training in area hospitals and imaging centers. Upon successful completion of the Radiography Technology Program, the graduate may sit for the national certification examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Passing this exam will allow the graduate to use the initials R.T.(R) ARRT following their name. The Radiography Technology graduate is required to seek a state license with the Texas Medical Board in order to practice in the state of Texas. Radiography Technologist Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Radiography Technologist, A.A.S.- As a Radiographer, you will be engaged in taking medical images of patients to determine the presence of disease or injury, you may assist the doctor with special procedures using computerized or digital equipment.
