What will I learn?

This program is dedicated to understanding how humans communicate. It is designed for students who recognize that their future success as leaders in the Digital Age depends on compelling spoken and written messages that connect, educate, persuade and inspire audiences. For students trained in Speech Communication, employment possibilities include fields such as: business and sales management, advertising, public and media relations, personnel training, education, entertainment, organizational leadership, mediation and conflict management, religion, nonprofit leadership, politics and law. Students must complete all required core courses, and choose other courses from the additional courses listed to total 22 units. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to demonstrate oral and written communication skills to produce effective speeches demonstrate increased appreciation of the speech communication process, and demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking skills in the areas of speaking and listening.

Entry requirements

For international students

High School transcripts and Diploma; minimum of 2.0 or ""C"" grade point average, if transferring directly from a U.S.-based College or University.

Students under 18 years of age may apply, but must submit final transcripts showing secondary/high school completion before the first term of enrollment.
