The Banking and Finance program introduces students to broad range of banking and finance including asset and liability management, financial decision making, financial markets and institutions, and gain practical knowledge of the core principles of accounting and economics. Coursework will include:an overview of banking systemspecific banking functions and the role of banking in the economy review legal and regulatory issues, including compliance and explore the Federal Reserve System's policies and operations.Program Learning OutcomesApply appropriate critical and problem solving skills to a banking situation dealing with services banks provide to the publicCritique the functions of money and evaluate which functions holds the greatest significance.Investigate the technology advances in the bank’s cash management systems, and evaluate the strength and weakness of each system.
