What will I learn?

After completing the AS in Accounting at IVC, you will have a solid foundation for transfer. The financial and managerial accounting courses at IVC are challenging and ''problem based'' meaning upon your transfer you will be ready for the rigor of upper division accounting courses.
Although the economy may have challenges from time to time, historically, the demand for accountants has always been strong.
If you are planning on working in the accounting profession, you will want to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (''CPA''). To become a CPA, you will need to meet the educational requirement of 150 semester units, a bachelor’s degree plus 30 semester units. (collectively ''Educational Requirement''). In addition to the Educational Requirement you will need to pass the CPA exam and obtain work experience. Entry requirements

For international students

All applicants must provide proof of graduation from high school (or equivalent) in the form of official records/transcripts with certified English translation (if necessary). Students should submit transcripts from all years of study at the high school level. Students may also submit the GED or HISET to fulfill this requirement.

English proficiency can be met by submitting one of the following English proficiency tests:
