What will I learn?

The Associate in Science in Physics for Transfer degree (AS-T) will provide students interested in pursuing a baccalaureate degree in Physics and Engineering with the lower-division coursework required to transfer into the California State University (CSU) system. Although this degree meets the legal mandate for CSU transfer degrees, students should follow the specific articulation agreement found at www.assist.org for the selected transfer institution. Successful completion of Associate in Science in Physics for Transfer guarantees admissions into the CSU system, by: • Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University (CSU), including the CalGETC GE requirements • A minimum of 18 semester units or 27 quarter units in a major or area of emphasis • Obtain a minimum grade point average of 2.0. • Minimum grade of ''C'' (or ''P'') for each course in the major, and • Completion of CalGETC GE requirements.

Entry requirements

For international students

Graduation from a U.S. high school with grades of C or higher in academic English (not ESL). Final IGCSE or O level results with a grade of C or higher in one of the following: English Language, English – First Language, English as a Second Language. Graduation from an English medium International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. Transcripts from U.S. post-secondary institutions showing one academic year of college level English with grades of C or higher. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level (O Level).
