What will I learn?

The Astrophysics program focuses on the theoretical, observational and experimental study of the Universe. Emphasis is placed on the universe on its largest scales (cosmology), its most visible constituents (stars), and on analysis of modern astronomical data sets. Undergraduates also have the opportunity to work with faculty in their research. As an Astrophysics major, you’ll study the formation of the universe and the behavior and life cycles of stars, planets and galaxies. You’ll focus on scientific investigation, laboratory experience and research opportunities to give you hands-on experience in the field of astrophysics.
