What will I learn?

As a history major, you will learn how to discover and evaluate the information of the past. You will research history from a wide spectrum of approaches including social, political, cultural, and intellectual, and religious history. (Note: There is a dual degree option for History and Secondary Education.)

Entry requirements

For international students

International students applying to Catholic University must have successfully completed a university preparatory course of study at a secondary school (a minimum of 12 years of primary and secondary school training comprising the equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma).

Acceptable Test Scores

TOEFL - 80 Internet (should have at least 20 out of 30 in each category); 150 Paper; 213 Computer.

IELTS - 6.5 (individual test module scores are also reviewed in addition to the overall score to ensure proficiency)

Duolingo - 105

PTE - 58

Application deadline for Fall semester (Sept. to Dec.): Nov. 1 - Early Action and Early Decision I application deadline; Feb. 1 - Regular Decision and Early Decision II application deadline.
