Math provides a greater understanding of the world it enables us to count, measure, analyze, and predict most things in our daily lives. In our Mathematics Education program, you will develop the problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills necessary for teaching in the 21st century.
Our B.A. in Mathematics Education degree fulfills all the requirements of our mathematics major and the New Hampshire State Department of Education Professional Standards for Teachers, which are required for certification. The curriculum includes advanced mathematics and physics courses, problem solving and modeling, teaching math with technology, as well as secondary education coursework. With this degree, you will be prepared for a variety of careers in education, business, and academia, as well as ready for advanced graduate study and research.

Through a focus on experiential learning and field experience beginning your freshman year, you will build your skills, resume, and professional network. Our proximity to some of the finest school districts in our state offers excellent opportunities for internships and employment. You will gain practical experience through a semester-long student teaching assignment, which will build your confidence in the classroom as well as your resume, and further develop your skills.
