Study B.S. Biophysics at New Jersey Institute of Technology in the USA, Jordan Hu College of Science and Liberal Arts

What will I learn?

The BS in Biophysics provides excellent training for careers in medicine and related fields. A large part of the MCAT and similar exams are devoted to this interdisciplinary area because it is so important. The biophysics courses use physics as a foundation and integrate biomedical science such as medical devices, cellular electronics, genetic engineering, microbiology, molecular biology and radiology. You will learn and apply the simple, basic principles that allow us to understand all parts of biomedical science. Our faculty and researchers invent and discover new medicines, microsensors, nanoscale probes of cells, devices to prevent blindness and ways to protect the lives of soldiers.

Entry requirements

For international students

All students who apply to NJIT must submit an official high school transcript in English. When evaluating your application for undergraduate admission, we are interested in understanding how you challenged yourself relative to the curriculum that was available at your school and the trends in your performance - especially your grades in math, science, and English. Your completed coursework should include English Composition, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Chemistry and Physics. We also consider the GPA that is indicated on your high school transcript. We look for students in the top 25 percent of their class. For schools that don't use a ranking system, we consider a 3.0 GPA or higher to be equivalent.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
