B.S. in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics

USA

14

What will I learn?

Learn to apply economic tools to evaluate Earth’s natural resources and the management of our environment. Through the study of economics, you’ll gain an understanding of environmental issues and learn how to predict effects of government policies on natural resources. You’ll work to explore solutions to pressing economic and environmental problems. In contrast to other natural resource programs, this major focuses on weighing the private and public implications of choices that we make on local and global scales.

SOME CAREER OPTIONS

Environmental and Resource Economy graduates are employed in a wide range of fields, from education and research to business and government. Profit and nonprofit organizations employ economists in community development, international relations, and environmental and conservation firms. Participation in internships, volunteer activities, and cooperative education opportunities is highly recommended to enhance your training and to find your niche in the industry.
