BA in Child and Adolescent Development, PK-3 Integrated Teacher Education Program Spanish Bilingual

The Child and Adolescent Development, PK-3 Integrated Teacher Education Program Spanish Bilingual, BA provides students with a set of courses that combine knowledge of Child and Adolescent Development with teacher preparation courses and field experiences that meet California state requirements for a Preliminary PK-3 ECE Specialist Instruction Credential and a Bilingual Authorization in Spanish. The roadmap includes courses that meet PK-3 Subject Matter Competency and Teacher Performance Expectation (TPE) requirements laid out by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). The program also provides students with content related to addressing the needs of students who are English Language Learners (ELL) and/or who have special needs. The Bilingual Authorization component further prepares teachers to serve in dual immersion or bilingual school settings. Successful completion of this program leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Adolescent Development, a preliminary PK-3 ECE Specialist Instruction Teaching Credential, and a Bilingual Authorization in Spanish.
