The Environmental Economics and Sustainability major provides students rigorous training in economics and awareness of sustainability challenges, including global climate change, food production, environmental conservation, and social justice. Training in economics provides knowledge of how individuals and governments make decisions and the ways in which the economy can be structured and managed for the common good, training that is a crucial part of solving sustainability challenges.
