What will I learn?

The BAS degree in Cybersecurity and Networking is designed to prepare students for employment in a variety of information technology (IT) positions, such as information security analysts, network and computer systems administrators or computer support specialists. This degree provides students with the opportunity to acquire a deep technical foundation and competency in cybersecurity and networking. Students will learn how to analyze the security vulnerabilities of an organization’s IT resources, and how to plan and implement security measures and practices for those resources. Students will learn how to plan, implement, administer, secure, and support appropriate information technologies and systems to help an organization achieve its goals and objectives. Information technologies and systems may include: servers, client computers, mobile devices, operating systems, network applications, local area networks, wide area networks, wireless networks, network segments, intranets, and so on.

Entry requirements

For international students

To enter this program, students must have an associates degree from a regionally accredited institution.

English Proficiency Requirements:

TOEFL iBT 61 or higher on the international TOEFL or the iBT Special Home Edition while TOEFL testing centers are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic

IELTS 5.5 no band lower than 5.0

Official ACT score of 14 in ELA (English Language Arts) with completed writing section

Official SAT Score of not lower than English Language Arts 410 and Math 430

Cambridge General Certificate of Education (GCE) O level with C in English as First Language, or B in English as Second Language

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) of no lower than 46

STEP/EIKEN score of Grade Pre-1 or better

Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) English as First Language score of C or higher; or English as Second Language score of B

Duolingo score of no lower than 95

English Language Level Test, ELLT overall score of 4 (B2) with no band lower than 3 (B1+).
