What will I learn?

This special curriculum is designed for undergraduates who know early on that they would like to complete a Political Science Master’s Degree. It is an academic program that makes it possible for a major in political science to complete the B.A. and M.A. degrees in a shortened time period when undertaking full-time study.Students in the B.A./M.A. curriculum must satisfy all the requirements for the B.A. in political science.Upon graduation with the B.A. degree, students are evaluated for admission to continue on in the M.A. phase of the curriculum. Students in the B.A./M.A. program still need to apply to the Political Science Master's Degree program through UIS Admissions. The requirements for the M.A. phase of the B.A./M.A. curriculum are the same as those for the M.A. program, except that up to eight B.A. internship credits can count toward the M.A.. With those reductions, the number of hours required for the M.A. phase is 32.
