The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art with a concentration in Studio Art is a four-year liberal arts degree designed for students who want a strong foundation in studio practice while exploring broader academic interests across the University. Students begin in our First-Year Foundations Program which nurtures their interests and skills through classes in drawing, 2D, 3D, and 4D. Intermediate classes focus on developing practical skills in a variety of mediums and methods. Advanced courses center on building theoretical and technical competencies in studio practices. Students may focus on one of the mediums listed above or craft their own interdisciplinary path. Students also explore other interests across the university and are encouraged to incorporate those interests into their artistic production.
