Program Learning Outcomes for the BA Degree with a Major in Asian Studies and a Major Concentration in Asian Language Upon completing the BA Degree with a major in Asian Studies, students will be able to: Demonstrate a broad historical and geographic knowledge about Asia as a transnational region. Demonstrate the cultural literacy necessary for studying abroad and/or practicing internationally-based professions by exhibiting interactional and intercultural abilities and knowledge. Additionally, upon completing the BA Degree with a major in Asian Studies and a major concentration in Asian Language, students will be able to: Communicate fluently in an Asian language at an advanced level, as indicated by the ability to understand, converse, read, and write in that language. Learn and apply various research skills, including critical thinking and interpretation, to Asian language sources.
