What will I learn?

La Verne’s Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration Program links business administration theory with work experience and industry practices to set students up for successful careers. The program focus on critical thinking and interpersonal skills, teaching students to work in group settings. Ethics is also paramount, with emphasis on the impact of cultural differences on business practices. To provide maximum convenience and flexibility, the program is offered online and is available at several locations throughout California, including Bakersfield, Burbank, Crafton Hills Community College, Irvine, Mt. San Antonio College, Ontario, Rio Hondo Community College, and Santa Clarita, as well as at Naval Base Ventura County.Business Administration Courses and ConcentrationsThe B.A. in Business Administration consists of 52 semester hours. Students must complete 12 semester hours of prerequisites, 32 semester hours of core requirements, and 8 semester hours of electives. They can also choose a concentration from the following options:Business Finance ConcentrationThis concentration prepares students for successful careers in the corporate finance, industrial, or bank management fields.

Entry requirements

For international students

If you are finishing up high school or are a recent high school graduate, you will be applying as a first-time freshman student. When reviewing freshmen applications, our admissions committee will be looking to see if you have completed the following classes and passed with a grade of C or better (no foreign language courses are required): four years of English; three years of social science; passed or surpassed Algebra 2and two years of science (one must be a lab).
