A Bachelor of Arts with a major in international studies and a concentration in human security makes you a valuable asset to any organization with whom you choose to work. This major is designed to prepare students for jobs in the public and private sectors, where globalization is increasing dramatically, or to enter a graduate degree program.Become a more informed citizen of the world. We have one of the Southwest's largest and most advanced undergraduate degree programs that will provide you a deep understanding of world diversity. In response to the increased interest in international issues, the University of North Texas offers a B.A. degree in International Studies. There are five concentration from which students can choose: International Business Economics, International Development and Humanitarian Affairs, International Security and Diplomacy, Peace Studies, Regional StudiesThe program also aims at increasing students' appreciation of world history, cultures, politics, economics, geography, literature, and the arts. In addition to giving the students the needed educational background in the above areas, the major provides the students with the skills in foreign languages as well as analytical and scientific thinking.

Entry requirements

For international students

Beginning freshman from international high school:- Graduation from a high school recognized by the home country ministry of education, Official transcripts/diplomas (in native language and English) showing all courses and marks of final three years of secondary school Students with a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.25 or higher are guaranteed admission to UNT. Students' GPAs will be standardized on a 4.0 GPA scale once transcripts are submitted. Beginning freshman from U.S. high school:- Minimum of three years and graduation from an accredited high school in the U.S., Official transcripts, showing rank in class through at least junior year, plus graduation date, U.S. graduates only. Send SAT or ACT scores
