What will I learn?

We live in an increasingly interconnected world. Professionals in business, economics, government, human services and other fields work frequently across borders to address the challenges that face our global community. In this program, you will learn about international political, economic and social issues, become proficient in a foreign language and develop expertise in a region of the globe that interests you. You will also become immersed in an international culture through a study abroad experience, which can be waived due to extenuating circumstances. Students can concentrate their studies on a professional emphasis (known as an issue emphasis) in one of these pre-selected tracks: international relations, global resources and development, international economics and business, or through a secondary major or minor. Real-world experiences include the UN/Advanced UN Studies course series - culminating in a national conference in New York City - and faculty-mentored undergraduate research opportunities at three key points in your path.
