What will I learn?

Philosophy means love of wisdom in Greek. The practice of philosophy begins, as Aristotle said, with a sense of wonder. From simple questions children ask Why, What is God like, Does the universe come to an end? to complex queries such as the nature of virtue, the meaning of existence, the nature of human knowledge, the nature of reality, the nature of God, etc.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have official high school or university transcripts and it must be mailed directly from your high school or university to MTSU. For guaranteed admission, applicants must have completed the recommended college preparatory courses and must present one of the following: GPA 3.0 OR.Minimum composite ACT score of 22 OR minimum SAT total score of 1100 (Evidence Based Reading, Writing and Math).If you do not meet either of the above requirements you will need: Minimum 2.7 GPA plus ACT score of 19 OR SAT score of 990 (Evidence-Based Reading or Writing and Math).
