What will I learn?

Rivier’s B.A. in Psychology program will develop your knowledge of individual and group dynamics and give you an in-depth understanding of the scientific study of human behavior, both individually and within society. In this program you will:Study the science of human behavior and mental processes to gain a greater understanding of how the body and mind work.Combine coursework with psychological research studies to bring classroom learning to lifeDevelop strong analytical and problem-solving skillsBecome an effective communicator and collaboratorSelect the Mental Health & Addiction Studies track and help improve the quality of life of those suffering from substance use disorder (SUD). With a strong background in theory, research, and current perspectives on prevention and treatment, the Psychology degree with a track in Mental Health & Addiction Studies is designed to address the challenges associated with these disorders and educate students preparing for careers in counseling, recovery services, advocacy, and public health.

Essay. In one to two pages, please give your reasons for deciding to study at Rivier University, and in the field you have selected.
One Letter of Recommendation.

Transcript Evaluations. Transcripts from schools, colleges, and universities outside of the U.S. must be evaluated by an agency approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluators or the Association of International Credential Evaluators. Full course-by-course evaluations are required.
