What will I learn?
The Dive Leadership emphasis provides broad-based support of sub-aquatic research, education, and recreational activities with a focus on diver safety and proficiency in the challenging waters of Northern California.As a research, educational, and vocational asset, the Dive Leadership program is highly interdisciplinary. Diving has been used by students, faculty, and staff in the fields of marine biology, oceanography, fisheries, wildlife, geology, engineering, industrial technology, art, business administration, physical education,recreation administration, archaeology, and natural resources. The program facilitates undergraduate studies, advanced degrees, and careers in government or private sectors. The courses and certifications within the emphasis meet diving and training standards of Cal Poly Humboldt, the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), and the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS).

For international students
You will be asked to self-report academic information. If you choose to bypass this option, you will need to upload copies of your academic transcripts to the application before submitting to ensure that we have all the information we need to offer a decision. ou will need to self-report English Proficiency. At this time, Cal State Apply will allow you to self-report the following exams: ACT, AP, CLEP, IB, IELTS, PTE, SAT ,TOEFL and/or self-reported high school English or College English Composition.
