What will I learn?

Acting is the art or occupation of performing in plays, movies or television productions. The Department of Theatre offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting, providing you with a conservatory approach to either of this specialized form of performance. OSU's theatre department annually produces four main stage and studio productions for the campus community. Our Acting BFA students enjoy direct interaction with highly skilled faculty in a lab and performance setting from first year propelling them into a successful career in the industry.

Entry requirements

For international students

High School GPA 3.0+ (based on a 4.0 scale) and English-language proficiency exam scores (one of the following): iBT TOEFL Internet-Based Score 61+; IELTS Academic Score 5.5+; PTE Academic Score 46+; iTEP Academic Score 3.5+, Duolingo English Test Score 95+.

Note: OSU will only accept the Duolingo English Test (DET) results from students beginning Fall 2024.

Application deadline: For applicants currently living in the U.S. - Fall: July 1, Spring: December 1 and Summer: May 1; For applicants not living in the U.S. - Fall: June 1, Spring: November 1 and Summer: March 1.
