What will I learn?

A successful animator and game artist must be fluent in a wide range of tools and practices in a highly competitive industry. NEC’s BFA in Animation and Game Design is tailored toward aspiring digital artists who want to focus on the aesthetic experience of animation, game design, and digital art. With the revolution in software, students have new and powerful tools to help them tell stories, build worlds, create 2D or 3D animation, design digital assets for game-based applications or multimedia, and develop visual and sound effects. Additionally, the curriculum identifies and cultivates the connections between related disciplines to empower students with the critical and technical skills that produce sustainable art careers and industry professionals. The program fosters a diverse mixture of skills combining artistic expression with technology. By emphasizing hands-on experience and creative expression over all else, NEC’s industry-experienced faculty have created a BFA in Animation and Game Design program that will help you become a unique and desirable animation professional.
