What will I learn?

Comics are an inherently visual medium that has always relied on poppy, pulpy art to captivate readers. But comic art has come a long way from the traditional styles of the Golden and Silver Ages, with contemporary artists like Andrea Sorrentino, Joelle Jones, and Tradd Moore showcasing just how expressive and unique comic art can be. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Comic Arts program at New England College will help you develop your own signature style so you can create vivid and immediately recognizable sequential art. Stories are brought to life in a variety of ways through comic art, and our program covers them all from traditional comics and cartoon strips to manga and web comics. Our BFA in Comics covers the entirety of comic art development, teaching you how to collaborate with other artists, writers, and editors to bring groundbreaking stories to life. We’ll even connect you with industry veterans and published creators who can help you develop your artistic individuality through our partnership with the Center for Cartoon Studies.
