What will I learn?

If you would like to study art or design, but have not yet decided on a discipline, you can enter UMass Dartmouth with a ''Studio Arts Undeclared'' major. You will have an opportunity to explore CVPA’s many studio options during your first semester. Then you’ll declare a major and take your introductory courses in the spring. All of CVPA’s bachelor of fine arts (BFA) programs offer you professional preparation in the arts-and the opportunity to take more art and design courses.

Entry requirements

For international students

Submit secondary and/or post-secondary sealed official transcripts translated into English by a certified professional. Transcripts with at least three years' grades must be uploaded by school counselors. Minimum GPA requirement: 2.5. SAT/ACT score, letter of recommendation from a teacher or school counselor: highly recommended for our most competitive programs, such as nursing, biology, engineering, and psychology, a personal essay (up to 650 words) that demonstrates qualities of leadership, community service, work experiences and/or other significant interests; this can be completed as part of your Common Application.
