A bachelor’s degree in music performance offers you intensive training with an award-winning, welcoming community of faculty who possess a wealth of experience in both performance and teaching. We provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to make you real-world ready in today’s competitive musical world.
Classes You Will Take
We offer five distinct sets of courses for a four-year performance degree.
You’ll interact with the performance faculty through weekly private lessons and studio classes, and receive significant experience performing orchestral, choral, wind, and chamber music repertoires through participation in award-winning ensembles.
Master classes, workshops, and lectures by visiting artists further enhance your learning experiences, and winners of an annual Concerto Competition receive an invitation to perform as soloists with the Ball State Symphony Orchestra. In addition to performances during weekly recital hours, you’re expected to complete full-length recitals in both the junior and senior years.
And all of these performance opportunities are enhanced by Ball State’s leading-edge performance venues.
