Plant and soil sciences graduates are crucial to meeting society’s need for food, livestock feed, fiber and fuel through the conservation and management of plant and soil resources. As a plant and soil sciences major at OSU, your learning experience will include field-based classes, numerous laboratory experiments, non-traditional classroom settings and hands-on learning. Entry requirements

For international students

High School GPA 3.0+ (based on a 4.0 scale) and English-language proficiency exam scores (one of the following): iBT TOEFL Internet-Based Score 61+; IELTS Academic Score 5.5+; PTE Academic Score 46+; iTEP Academic Score 3.5+, Duolingo English Test Score 95+.

Note: OSU will only accept the Duolingo English Test (DET) results from students beginning Fall 2024.

Application deadline: For applicants currently living in the U.S. - Fall: July 1, Spring: December 1 and Summer: May 1; For applicants not living in the U.S. - Fall: June 1, Spring: November 1 and Summer: March 1.
